Summary

David Darmanin was awarded a degree in B. Commerce Minor (Marketing / Management) in 2001 and a Doctorate of Laws in 2004.
 He published his doctorate thesis about online privacy and consulted various local organizations on IP and IT law. David has over 10 years experience in visual and business project management.

During his college and University study years, David also worked as a designer and project manager. After winning the European company of the year award as the Managing Director of Omicron, he was recruited as a designer and project manager in the initial team that created iWORLD Group, a VC backed, global developer of mobile content. After this experience, David Darmanin founded the Startup Malta yearly business plan competition at the University of Malta and subsequently co-founded the Startup Malta Foundation for Entrepreneurship.

After these experiences, David Darmanin founded and ran a local advertising agency (Start Marketing) that signed on various local accounts in the entertainment, automotive and finance industries. Upon completing his doctorate in laws he then moved towards becoming a self employed consultant and worked with some international clients such as world renowned comedian Billy Connolly (via his agency Tickety Boo Ltd).

In 2006 David was employed with Uniblue as an optimization specialist. By 2008 he was promoted to VP of Design and Optimization. In this position he led to the creation of an internal design department, a strong visual strategy as well as further developing the company’s optimization culture
. A regular attendee of events such as adTech, eMetrics and recently attended the Conversion Conference in London.

. During his last 5 years at Uniblue David has planned, led, recruited and trained the staff for the creative team in marketing, the user centered design team as well as the General Analysis and Testing team in marketing.
